This year, China will receive 50 million dollars from the canadian government as “foreign aid”. It seems stupid to give this money to a nation that has a booming economy,a huge army, and a space program, among others, and ridiculous that Canadian government has to rely on giving China aid so that their diplomatic relations continue to flourish.

hahahaha, yeah i agree. Canada should invest in, say, nuclear weaponry if it wants to hold an influential role in world politics, rather than bribe countries into being ‘friends’ with them.

and let’s not forget canada was at war with china just 50 years ago in the korean war. perhaps the 50 million dollar commemorates the 50 years?
