Rupert Murdoch is engulfing more and more companies worldwide. As they destroy more and more of the competition, they have almost full control of western(and some eastern)media, consequently controlling more and more people’s minds, with information which they are free to manipulate, showing only what they believe convenient for their political backers, private financers etc… This is not only happening with the media, but competition is being destroyed in many fields, such as Telecommunications(telefonica is rapidly taking over with their mobile phone operator Movistar) or even beer brewing(all the canadian beers are now owned by foreign, mainly US, companies.) I believe that mergers are a good thing, but when multi-billion dollar mergers happen between companies, which leave a monopoly, it is bad for competition and ultimately for the consumers themselves. The main concern is it happens in everything from Telecommunications to Make-up companies.
